Kanuma Soil is a volcanic sand originating from the Kanuma region in Japan, known for its high permeability, water retention, and aeration. Its porous surface and lighter, softer texture compared to Akadama make it acidic and ideal for acid-loving plants and as a mix component for succulents. Our kanuma bonsai soil features moderate particle sizes that effectively improve soil structure and root respiration. In bonsai, it is often used as topdressing or mixed with Akadama to enhance drainage.
