Compressed Coconut Coir Brick is the processed byproduct of coconut husk fibers, sterilized and compressed into bricks for easy transport. Our Coconut Coir Brick is pure with low salt content and needs to be soaked in water to expand fully before use. The rehydrated coir offers excellent water retention and aeration, is rich in lignin, and decomposes slowly for long-lasting use. As a renewable, eco-friendly substrate, it's widely used in soilless culture, soil conditioning, seed starting, and propagation. Often mixed with perlite and vermiculite, compressed coconut coir creates a lightweight, high-performance growing medium and is an ideal peat substitute.
Made from carefully selected natural coconut husk fibers, which undergo desalination, crushing and screening, high-temperature sterilization, and high-pressure compression into blocks, this natural organic horticultural substrate contains no added soil, weed seeds, or insect eggs.
