This silica product is derived from natural quartzite ore with a high silicon dioxide (SiO₂) content. It is processed through crushing, high-pressure water washing, magnetic separation for impurity removal, and multi-stage screening. The material features milky-white to grayish-white tones and exhibits the natural, translucent, greasy luster characteristic of quartz.
With a Mohs hardness of 7, this silica offers excellent wear resistance and outstanding high-temperature stability (melting point approx. 1,710–1,750°C). It is chemically inert and stable, showing resistance to acids and alkalis (with the exception of hydrofluoric acid).
A full range of particle sizes is available in stock, suitable for filtration media and various industrial applications. It is widely used in glass manufacturing, metallurgical flux, water treatment filtration, aggregates for terrazzo and epoxy flooring, construction aggregates, and landscaping decoration.
Small packaging options are available for home DIY and landscaping projects, while bulk supplies in ton bags cater to glass factories, metallurgical enterprises, water treatment facilities, terrazzo manufacturers, and building material distributors. Large orders support customized particle sizes (mesh specifications) and private-label packaging.
Important Note: This product is an industrial and landscaping mineral material and is not edible. Please wear a dust mask during handling to avoid prolonged dust inhalation. As it has not undergone specialized grading, it should not be used as an abrasive for sandblasting.
Product Details
· Predominantly milky white and off-white with a natural quartz texture: The overall appearance is milky white to off-white; some granules feature a translucent, crystalline quality, offering a clean and fresh aesthetic.
· Crystalline surface with a greasy luster: Exhibits the natural greasy luster characteristic of quartz minerals, with a delicate sheen under light that lends a premium decorative quality.
· High-purity silica composition: Primarily composed of SiO₂ with high purity and low impurity levels, meeting the requirements for industrial raw materials.
· Hard mineral with a Mohs hardness of 7: Matches the hardness of quartz; the material is tough, resistant to compression and wear, and not prone to breakage or pulverization.
·High-pressure water washing and magnetic separation for impurity removal; low dust content: Water washing removes silt and sand, while magnetic separation eliminates iron-bearing impurities; grading and screening ensure uniform particle size and minimal dust.
· Natural variations are normal: A small number of granules may exhibit light gray or light yellow mineral streaks; these are characteristic features of natural quartzite and do not constitute quality defects.
